Abby the Cat

Our great hostess Bernie had pre-warned us in email: Abby, their cat, and our responsibility for the past 7 days, is a little "unfriendly" (I believe is the term they used). Turns out that's pure PR spin, along the lines of "snow challenge on Cypress Mountain." Living with Abby was like living with a wild animal. She would hiss, growl, and strike without warning -- a whirling dervish of feline hell. Stan, being a true cat lover, was determined to 'tame' dear Abby, only to end up with her claws stuck in his pants and hand, respectively. Blood was spilled. Jani won the Gold Medal of Cat Taming, and got Abby to purr. For Klev and Stine, Abby was further proof that cats are reincarnated serial killers - pure evil.

This video is NOT Abby (we did NOT turn her into the Cat Shelter!) but it's a fair reflection of what we lived with when we were home.
